Child Safety
For me, child safety is one of the most important things that need to be accounted for by a family day care educator. I think i can be trusted with childrens' s safety because when taking care of children at my day care i treat each child the way I would treat my own. That is why when I am taking care of children,I take each child's safety into account. Making sure that the children are safe, each morning I make sure the environment is clear of things like broken glass, knives, gardening equipment, chemicals (detergents) and any other things that would be harmful to children. While the children are playing there is always an adult supervising the children and he or she makes sure they are at least an arms length away from each child.
​Our Staff
At my day care, my husband acts as my assistant as he goes to work after the day care hours end. He has done all the required training such as first aid, food safety, anaphalaxis and asthma.
About us
My name is Harshida Khetia. I love children and love taking care of them. So i did a certificate 3 in childcare to allow me to work with children. I have 4 kids of my own, ranging from a 17 month old baby to a 22 year old girl. Apart from my kids, I have had experience while taking care of my friend's and relative's children. I also have work experience as i worked at brentwood childcare for 2 years and at leeming childcare for 3 years. When my 4th child was born i decided i wanted to do something from home so that i could stay with him more often.
Then the idea of a family day care occured to me and i loved it. To make it possible i did many other courses and did lots of training.
I have certificates of training in food safety, asthma, first aid and anaphalaxis.
So now i am providing a family day care service to children of 6 months to 12 years of age. I am also providing before and after school care as well as care in the holidays.
